Teacher of Maths

Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary:
MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum

Contract: Full Time

GSL Education’s North Yorkshire Branch is currently recruiting for Teacher of Maths to work at  an excellent Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire. The position can be adapted to accommodate an experienced teacher wishing to expand their expertise, or an ECT or strong graduate seeking their first teaching position.

Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Maths lessons to a range of abilities, across Key Stages.
  • Encouraging active student participation, fostering critical thinking, and promoting problem-solving skills.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Follow the ethos and policies of the school, promoting positive behaviour throughout the school.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance the learning experience.

Teacher of Maths Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths or STEM Degree.
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths to an education setting.
  • Be able to provide 2 professional references, relating to your teaching within the last 2 years (placements will be accepted for ECTs).
  • Be a passionate educator of young pupils with the ability to differentiate tasks for differing levels.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
