Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will be a vital part of students' journeys, helping them excel in their coursework while fostering personal growth. In this vital role, you will work closely with a specific pupil, offering tailored assistance to ensure they can fully engage with the curriculum and school life. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in a child's academic and personal development.
Responsibilities of the 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Providing individualised support to a student with SEN/SEMH, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met.
- Assisting the student with daily classroom activities, engagement and task completion.
- Implementing tailored learning strategies and working closely with teachers and SENCOs to track progress.
- Supporting behavioural management techniques to help the student develop emotional regulation skills.
- Creating a nurturing and structured learning environment that fosters confidence and independence.
- Promote the student's independence and self-confidence, encouraging active participation in school activities.
- Collaborate with the wider school team to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to the student's education.
The successful candidate will:
- Previous 1:1 or small group SEN/SEMH support experience is essential.
- A calm, patient and understanding approach to working with students with additional needs.
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification in education or SEN support is desirable.
- Have good organisational abilities, strong communication and classroom management skills and the capacity to run a classroom efficiently.
- Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
