Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Weymouth
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

If so, GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a school in Weymouth. This role is perfect for individuals who can provide guidance, encouragement, and structured support to students facing behavioural and emotional challenges.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a positive and structured learning environment, helping students develop coping strategies, and fostering their social and emotional growth.
Your Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Worker:
- Support students with behavioural and emotional difficulties in one-to-one and small group settings.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive student interactions.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to provide holistic support.
- Encourage students to develop self-regulation and coping strategies.
- Provide a safe and supportive space for students to express themselves.
- Assist in promoting an inclusive and structured classroom environment.
Skills & Qualification for Behaviour Support Worker:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs as a Behaviour Support Worker is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
