Salary: £150 - £230 per day (Depending on Experience)

About the Role:

As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support pupils’ academic and personal development. You will create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that each child is challenged, supported and motivated to achieve their best. You will work closely with colleagues, parents and school leadership to support pupils holistically and contribute to the school’s wider educational objectives.

Key Responsibilities of the Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher:

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 national curriculum.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, confidence and a passion for learning.
  • Differentiate teaching strategies to support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring that every child makes progress.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive, inclusive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants and support staff to ensure high standards of education.
  • Engage with parents and carers, providing updates on student progress and development.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring the well-being of all pupils.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 2.
  • Proven experience as a KS2 Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, assessment frameworks and teaching methodologies.
  • A creative and adaptive teaching style, catering to diverse learning needs.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated with educational best practices.
  • A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, in line with school policies.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
