Salary: £94 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)

About The Role:
As a Secondary Cover Teacher, you will step in to deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and productive. This role requires adaptability, confidence, and strong classroom management skills to effectively support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Responsibilities of Secondary Cover Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons across a variety of subjects.
- Adapt quickly to different classrooms, ensuring continuity in students' learning.
- Manage behaviour effectively, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow lesson plans set by subject teachers while bringing enthusiasm and creativity to the classroom.
- Provide support and guidance to students, fostering their academic and personal development.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and senior leadership teams.
- Ensure adherence to school safeguarding and behaviour policies.
The successful candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT) status, or relevant teaching experience.
- A strong understanding of classroom management strategies and the ability to engage students.
- Flexibility to teach across different subjects and year groups at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- A commitment to supporting students’ learning and well-being.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
