Secondary Supply Teacher - Southampton, Hampshire

GSL Education are looking for an engaging and adaptable Secondary Supply Teacher to work across multiple schools in Southampton. This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate between £120 - £140 (based on experience), with the flexibility to choose the days you wish to work. The position is available ASAP or from Easter 2025, making it ideal for teachers who want control over their schedule while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of Secondary Supply Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects and year groups in secondary schools.
- Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of different schools and classrooms.
- Complete light marking—no planning or additional workload outside of school hours.
- Follow school policies and collaborate with staff to ensure a smooth teaching experience.
Requirements of Secondary Supply Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt quickly.
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Possess a patient, empathetic and proactive approach to working with children.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
