Job Title: RE/Humanities Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S9)
Salary: £155 – 220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate
Contract type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm

If so, GSL Education are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic RE/Humanities Teacher to join a supportive school in Sheffield. This full-time role offers a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, providing the chance to make a real impact on students' learning and development.

RE/Humanities Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in RE and Humanities.
  • Inspire students to develop a critical understanding of cultures, societies, and ethical issues.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Encourage independent thinking, discussion, and debate in the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively withcolleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued.

Requirements that we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting or as an Educational Support Worker is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
