Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to work with a student in Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a direct impact on a child’s learning and personal development by providing tailored guidance and support.
The Role:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with a student who requires additional support to engage in lessons, build confidence, and develop key skills. You will help them overcome challenges, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed in a supportive and structured school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to a student with additional learning needs.
- Assist in delivering personalised learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Use strategies to improve engagement, focus, and confidence in the classroom.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure progress and well-being.
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to suit the student’s specific learning style.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working 1:1 with children, particularly those with SEN or additional learning needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or support work (desirable but not essential).
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
