Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a school in Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students, providing essential support to help them succeed academically and socially.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, offer 1:1 and small group support, and create a positive learning environment for all students. Whether supporting those with additional needs or helping to maintain classroom focus, your role will be key in shaping young minds.
Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who need additional guidance.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
- Support children in developing confidence, communication, and social skills.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement tailored learning plans.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in education, childcare, or support settings.
- A patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach to learning support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or support work (desirable but not essential).
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
