Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Bovington
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are looking for a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in Bovington. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children who require additional support, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised support to students with a range of learning needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other complex needs. Your role will be key in ensuring every child feels valued, encouraged, and able to succeed.
Key Responsibilities of SEN TA:
- Support students with learning, social, and emotional development in the classroom.
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to create an inclusive environment.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to enhance learning and engagement.
- Help students develop essential communication and social skills.
- Implement strategies to manage behaviour and encourage positive interactions.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
- A patient, understanding, and nurturing approach to support students’ needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or psychology (desirable but not essential).
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
