Job Title: SEN Support Worker
Location: Ringwood
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a school in Ringwood. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support, helping them to access learning and develop their independence in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure inclusive learning.
- Support students with communication, social, and emotional development.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
- Help create a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
- A relevant qualification in education, psychology, childcare, or social care is desirable but not essential.
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
