Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Poole
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Poole. This role is ideal for someone with experience in supporting children and young people with behavioural needs, helping them develop positive coping strategies and succeed in their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to relevant staff.
- Support students in developing social skills, resilience, and self-confidence.
- Uphold the school's behaviour policies and promote a safe learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or social care is desirable but not essential.
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
