Role: SEMH Personal, Social Development (PSD) Teacher
Location: Chesterfield (S41)
Salary Range: £150 - £230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full – Time, Long-term

The Role:
In this role, you will work directly with students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them navigate both academic and social-emotional challenges. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Individualised Support: Develop and implement personalised learning strategies to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and provide insightful feedback to parents and colleagues to support their academic growth.
- Emotional Support: Foster a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional guidance and encouragement to help students manage their anxieties and behavioural challenges.
- Communication: Ensure effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s educational journey.
- Inclusion: Advocate for inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with SEMH needs feel a sense of belonging and support.
Requirements:
- QTS or relevant qualification.
- Relevant experience as a PSD SEMH Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with SEMH needs succeed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
- Previous experience in supporting students with SEMH needs is advantageous.
- A full UK driving license and full-time availability is essential.
