Secondary Math Teacher – Southampton, Hampshire
Inspire the Next Generation – Maths Teacher Opportunity in Southampton!
GSL Education are looking for a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Southampton. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary between £30,000 and £50,000 per year, depending on experience. The role offers a permanent contract after the probation period, with start dates available from Easter 2025 or September 2025. The school welcomes applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced professionals who are eager to make a real impact in students' learning.
Responsibilities of the Math Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons that cater to different learning abilities.
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a strong understanding and love for Mathematics.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering student confidence and academic success.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
Requirements of the Math Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for education.
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and engage students.
- Commitment to professional development and contributing to the school community.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
