As a Cover Supervisor or Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the education of primary school pupils across the Bournemouth and Poole areas. You’ll be covering short-term teacher absences, leading pre-set lessons, and ensuring that students continue to engage and learn in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the classroom, ensuring students remain focused on their tasks.
- Lead lessons set by the class teacher, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
- Maintain strong behaviour management and support students to stay on task.
- Provide a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work alongside the school staff to ensure pupils' educational needs are met.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage students.
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
- An aspiring teacher who is looking to gain more classroom experience.
- Passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed.
- No formal Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required for this role, though relevant experience is beneficial.
