Maths Teacher
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: Easter 2025
Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time
Salary: £154 - £239 per day (MPS1 to UPS3 equivalent)
Are you a qualified Maths Teacher looking for a new opportunity from Easter 2025? GSL Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Maths Teachers for long-term placements in secondary schools across York and the surrounding areas.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with potential KS5 teaching opportunities.
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to students of varying abilities.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support academic development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Teacher of Maths Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with recent classroom teaching experience.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
- Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
- Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
