Qualified Teacher of Physical Education (PE)

Location: Worksop

Start date: Easter term of 2025

Salary: £140 – £190 per day

GSL Education are currently looking to recruit an ambitious and qualified PE Teacher for a prominent, secondary client school in Worksop to start working for Easter term. Ideally, we require prospective candidates be able to teach the theory as well as practical side of Physical Education as a subject, be familiar with the UK’s national curriculum in terms of delivering up to GCSE examination level (not mandatory, but preferable).

To be eligible for this position, you are obligated to:

  • Specialise in Physical Education (PE) in theory as well as practical lessons.
  • Hold UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) through completing a BA/BSc Honours with PGCE, or through a teaching programme such as SCITT, IIT or GTP.
  • Have recent experience teaching PE subject under the new GCSE marking scheme.
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and supporting the welfare of all students.
  • Be able to provide a ten-year career history with relevant reference details covering the last two years, including your most recent place of academic employment.
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one at once.
