SEN Support Worker
Location: Poole
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Poole.
As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a key role in assisting students with their learning, well-being, and personal development. This role is perfect for someone who is committed to providing individualised support and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in an inclusive learning environment.
Your Responsibilities as a SEN Support Worker:
- Support students with special additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties etc., helping them to engage in classroom activities.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning strategies.
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Provide personal and social support to students when required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support student progress.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
SEN Support Worker Skills & Requirements:
- Experience working with children in an educational as a SEN Support Worker or support capacity is desirable.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education or similar.
- Understanding of various SEN-related issues.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with students.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
