Salary: £84 - £108 per day (Depending on experience)

The role will require close collaboration with the classroom teacher to implement individualised support plans, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
About the Role:
As the Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. Working closely with teachers and other professionals, you will provide targeted assistance to students, ensuring they receive the guidance and encouragement necessary to excel academically and socially. This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, empathetic and committed to fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Support individual pupils and small groups to access the curriculum effectively.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies.
- Adapt learning activities to suit the needs of pupils with diverse learning styles.
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages pupil confidence and participation.
- Work closely with teachers to provide classroom support and prepare learning materials and resources.
- Help develop pupils’ social, emotional and communication skills.
- Promote independence and self-confidence in learners through structured support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
Job Requirements of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting, with an understanding of SEN students and their specific educational needs.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or a related field) is desirable, but not essential.
- A passion for supporting young learners, with the ability to tailor your approach to meet individual students' needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people, including teachers, parents and students.
- Patience and empathy, with the ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Full-time availability and a desire to contribute to the growth and development of students in a long-term, stable role.
- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
