Location: Wareham
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 Per Day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a welcoming school in Wareham. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, compassionate, and committed to helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and encouragement to succeed in the classroom.
Responsibilities of a Special Education Needs TA:
- Provide tailored support to students with additional needs, both one-to-one and in small groups.
- Assist in implementing personalised learning plans to enhance student progress.
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Help students develop social and emotional skills in a nurturing environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents.
- Work closely with the SENCO and wider school team to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Foster independence and confidence in students through positive reinforcement.
Special Needs TA Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN or support role as a Special Education Needs TA.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
- Any degree in psychology, education or similar.
- A patient and adaptable approach to supporting students with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to provide both academic and emotional support in a school setting.

- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
