Location: Bovington
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

GSL Education are looking for a committed SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Bovington. This role is perfect for an individual who is caring, patient, and eager to provide meaningful support to students who require additional help with their learning and development.

As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities of a SEN Support Worker:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in implementing personalised learning strategies to enhance student progress.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support individual learning plans.
  • Foster students' confidence, independence, and social skills through structured activities.
  • Offer emotional and behavioural support to create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting observations to relevant staff.
  • Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet the needs of each student.

Requirements of SEN Support Worker:

  • A degree in psychology, education or similar field.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN or educational setting as a SEN Support Worker.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to provide both academic and emotional support.
