Location: Winton
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Support Worker to work in a school setting in Winton. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, adaptable and committed to providing quality support to students with additional learning needs.

As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a key role in assisting students with their educational and social development, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive.

What you have to do as a SEN Support Worker:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with additional needs.
  • Assist in implementing learning strategies tailored to individual student requirements.
  • Help students build confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Support the class teacher in managing classroom activities and behaviour.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other school staff to support student progress.
  • Encourage and promote social inclusion within the school environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.

SEN Support Worker Qualification:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN or support role as a SEN Support Worker
  • A degree in psychology, education or similar field.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to provide emotional and academic support in a school setting.
