Drama/Performing Arts Teacher - Winchester, Hampshire

GSL Education are looking for a creative and passionate full-time Drama/Performing Arts Teacher for a secondary school in Winchester. With a pay rate of £30k to £50k per year, this exciting role starts from Easter 2025 or September 2025 and offers a permanent contract after a probation period. The school welcomes ECTs and experienced teachers, providing excellent career progression opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Drama and Performing Arts.
  • Inspire and engage students in creative expression, performance techniques, and theatre studies.
  • Develop and implement an inclusive and engaging curriculum.
  • Organise and direct school productions, drama clubs, and extracurricular activities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the arts culture within the school.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning in line with school policies.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and participate in professional development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Drama/Performing Arts at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the performing arts.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to fostering creativity and confidence in students.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
