Music Teacher

Location: Newham
Salary: £185 - £265 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term

GSL Education London Branch are looking for a Music Teacher to join a vibrant co-educational secondary school in Newham. If you are a passionate Music Teacher with a talent for inspiring students and a love for teaching, this is a fantastic opportunity for you!

Responsibilities of a Music Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Music Teacher lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Encourage creativity and musical expression through practical and theoretical teaching.
  • Prepare students for performances, concerts, and exams.
  • Support students in developing their skills in singing, instruments, and composition.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to extracurricular music activities.
  • Ensure lessons are in line with the school’s curriculum and policies.

Requirements for a Music Teacher:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Music Teacher in a UK secondary school is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of different musical styles, instruments, and composition techniques.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for music education and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
