Maths Teacher -Portsmouth, Hampshire

GSL Education are in search of a dynamic and motivated full time Maths Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Portsmouth. This exciting role offers a competitive salary ranging from £30k to £50k per year, with the start date from Easter 2025 or September 2025. Following a successful probation period, there is a permanent contract available, along with excellent progression opportunities for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging Maths lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, inspiring a love of learning.
- Develop and deliver a clear, structured curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic success.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.
- Participate in school activities, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and support students’ personal development.
- Ensure that safeguarding and school policies are adhered to at all times.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4 (ECTs welcome to apply).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
- Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
