Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Engage and Inspire: Teach captivating Geography lessons across various key stages, from physical geography to human geography.
  • Innovative Teaching: Develop and implement creative lesson plans that spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking.
  • Student Success: Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Inclusive Classroom: Create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable expressing their ideas and debating geographical perspectives.
  • Community Involvement: Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and geography-related events.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Equivalent: Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level is preferred, but ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment: A dedication to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Motivation: Ability to inspire students and ignite a love for Geography.
  • Preparedness: An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
