Pay rate: £87 - £108 per day (Depending on experience)

Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary), you will work closely with teachers to support student learning across various subjects, helping to create an engaging and productive classroom atmosphere. You will assist in lesson delivery, provide one-to-one or small-group support and help students overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, ensuring they remain engaged and confident in their learning.
- Work with small groups and individual students, offering targeted interventions to improve attainment.
- Support students with additional learning needs, adapting teaching materials where necessary.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and enthusiasm for learning.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of lesson resources, supporting teachers with administrative tasks.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtime and extracurricular activities.
- Uphold school policies on behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion.
Requirements of Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary):
- Must hold a degree in any subject (Education, English, Maths, Science, Psychology, or a related discipline is desirable).
- Have a genuine passion for education and a commitment to student development.
- Be confident in supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a range of subjects.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Be proactive, adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced school environment.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
