Salary: £150 - £220 per day (Depending on experience).

About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging and challenging mathematics curriculum that empowers students to develop their analytical and numerical skills. You will foster a love for learning, encouraging students to explore mathematical concepts with confidence and enthusiasm. With a strong emphasis on differentiation, active engagement and real-world applications, you will help students of all abilities achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Mathematics that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Assess and track students’ progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve.
- Foster a love for mathematics by demonstrating its real-world applications and relevance to everyday life.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, while managing behaviour effectively.
- Provide additional support to students who may require extra help, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum.
- Prepare and mark assessments, reports and homework promptly, contributing to students' overall academic progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff to create a holistic approach to student development and success.
- Keep abreast of new teaching strategies, changes to the curriculum and educational developments to ensure continued professional growth.
Maths Teacher requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
- A passion for teaching and an ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities in Mathematics.
- Strong pedagogical knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for mathematics.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff and parents.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
