Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Southbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to support individuals in achieving their full potential and enhancing their quality of life.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Disability Support Worker in Southbourne, you'll be at the heart of providing personalised support to individuals with disabilities. Your day-to-day will involve assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring the well-being of those you support. You'll also work closely with other professionals to create and implement tailored care plans.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Offer one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities, helping with daily living activities and personal care.
  • Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities and social interactions.
  • Implement and adapt individualised care plans to meet the evolving needs of those you support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment that upholds the dignity and respect of all individuals.
  • Keep accurate records of the support provided and progress made, and communicate regularly with other team members and family members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for individuals.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in providing care and support to individuals with disabilities.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in disability support or healthcare are desirable.
