Primary Teaching Assistant – Bournemouth

GSL Education are thrilled to offer an opportunity for a full-time Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Year 1 class at a primary school in Bournemouth. This role offers a competitive salary between £17,500 to £19,500 per year, with a start date ASAP or from Easter 2025. A permanent contract is available for the right candidate.

Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Assist students with their learning, both individually and in small groups.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Provide additional support to pupils with differentiated learning needs.
  • Support children’s social and emotional development.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, displays, and general admin tasks.
  • Encourage students to develop independence and confidence in their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with young children.
  • A passion for supporting primary-aged studentsin their learning journey.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A patient, caring, and nurturing approach.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
