Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 (Year 5 & 6) – Rural Primary School near Driffield
Are you passionate about education and dedicated to supporting students in their learning journey? GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a small rural primary school near Driffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to support Key Stage 2 students (Years 5 & 6) as they prepare for their upcoming SATs. This long-term position runs for the remainder of the academic year, working Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30, with a daily rate of £83 - £96.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting Year 5 and Year 6 students, particularly in maths and English, as they prepare for their SATs. This position is ideal for someone with confidence in maths and a strong ability to support students in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to students in small groups and one-to-one settings.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and implementing engaging learning activities.
- Support students' confidence and understanding in core subjects, particularly maths.
- Help with classroom management and encourage a positive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers to track student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people is preferred.
- Confidence in maths and the ability to support students in SATs preparation.
- A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a school setting.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting a positive learning environment.
