Psychology Teaching Assistant (Psychology TA)

Location: Greenwich, London
Salary: £90 - £130 per day
Start Date: Immediately
Contract: Long Term

Are you passionate about psychology and eager to support students' learning and well-being? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Psychology Teaching Assistant (Psychology TA) to join our team in Greenwich. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with students and contribute to their academic and personal development.

Responsibilities of a Psychology TA:

  • Provide individual and group support to students as a Psychology TA.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure all interactions comply with the school's safeguarding and welfare policies.

Requirements of a Psychology TA:

  • Previous experience as a Psychology TA or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of psychology and support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
