SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Boscombe
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Boscombe. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in SEN support, education, or care work who want to make a positive impact on young learners’ lives.
Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEN.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Help students develop social skills, confidence, and independence.
- Support students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other additional needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
- Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons and activities.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential).
- A strong understanding of autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavioural challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students.
- The ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
- Relevant qualifications in Education, SEN, or Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential).
