Job Title: Disability Support Worker
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join a welcoming and inclusive setting in Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in care work, SEN education, or disability support to help create a nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Assist in implementing tailored support strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Support students with mobility, communication, and daily tasks.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence in students.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience in disability support, SEN education, or social care (desirable but not essential).
  • A strong understanding of physical, learning, and sensory disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude towards supporting individual needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care, Education, or SEN Support (preferred).
