Teaching Assistant
Location: Swanwick
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day to Day / Long Term, Full Time / Part Time

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide support to students both individually and in small groups. Your role will be crucial in helping students engage with their lessons, keep them on task, and offer guidance where needed. You’ll contribute to creating a positive and productive classroom environment.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students.
- Prepare and organise learning materials for classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for students, assisting with tasks and projects.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by encouraging student participation.
- Help maintain classroom order and assist in managing student behaviour.
- Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students to help them thrive.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure effective teaching strategies and student progress.
What we need from a Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students.
- A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to different learning needs.
- An understanding of classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- A genuine passion for supporting students in their academic journey.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
