Location: Poole
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Contract Type: Full-time/Permanent
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student in Poole. This role is ideal for individuals who have experience working closely with children in a classroom setting and are committed to providing personalised support to enhance their learning experience.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student, tailoring your support to meet their individual needs, helping them build confidence, and ensuring they engage positively with their learning. You will collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will be:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a student, assisting with their academic and social development.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the student’s needs.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom activities and encourage engagement in lessons.
- Support the student with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans.
- Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.
- Help build the student’s confidence and independence in their learning.
- Promote inclusion and participation in classroom and school activities.
- Ensure the student’s safety and well-being at all times.
1:1 Teaching Assistant Qualification:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare is desirable.
- A degree in Psychology, Education or in a similar field.
- A passion for supporting students on a one-to-one basis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of the student.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
