Teaching Assistant
Location: Andover
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join schools in Andover, providing essential classroom support to help students thrive academically and personally. This role is perfect for individuals who are eager to make a difference while gaining valuable experience in education.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will assist students with their studies, encourage participation, and provide additional support where needed to ensure every learner can reach their full potential.
TA Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering well-structured lessons and supporting classroom activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping students stay focused and engaged.
- Encourage students to develop confidence in their learning and social interactions.
- Help with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resource management.
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure students receive appropriate support.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Support positive behaviour management and contribute to a welcoming classroom environment.
What we need in a Teaching Assistant:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable.
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively in the classroom.
- A patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
