Teaching Assistant
Location: Chandler’s Ford
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in Chandler’s Ford, where you will play a vital role in enhancing students’ educational experiences. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support students in their academic and personal development. Your role will involve providing one-to-one and small group assistance, helping students stay engaged, and ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed in their learning.
If you become a Teaching Assistant (TA), your responsibilities will be:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
- Provide individual and group support to help students build confidence.
- Encourage positive behaviour and create a supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Help with lesson planning, preparation of learning materials, and classroom organisation.
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to ensure all students receive the best possible support.
- Support students in developing key learning skills and maintaining focus in class.
- Foster strong relationships with students, motivating them to achieve their potential.
Teaching Assistant Qualification:
- Experience working with children or as a Teaching Assistant is beneficial.
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively in the classroom.
- A patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to supporting students.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
