Teaching Assistant
Location: Eastleigh
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

If so, GSL Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join schools in Eastleigh, assisting students and teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping students develop academically and personally while gaining valuable experience in education.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers to provide essential classroom support. Your role will involve helping students with their studies, encouraging participation, and ensuring a smooth learning experience. Whether working one-to-one with a student or supporting a group, your presence will be key to fostering a positive learning environment.
Teaching Assistant (TA) Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering well-structured lessons, ensuring all students are engaged.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students achieve their potential.
- Encourage students to build their confidence and independence in learning.
- Support with behaviour management, promoting a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Help with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resource management.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to enhance student progress.
- Build strong relationships with students, fostering their motivation and enthusiasm for learning.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- A CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable but not essential.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a relevant field is beneficial.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
- A patient, supportive, and proactive approach to working with students.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
