English Teacher
Location: Newham
Salary: £185 - £265 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term until July 2025
GSL Education's London Branch are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an English Teacher to join a secondary school in Newham. We are seeking a passionate and skilled English Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons up to GCSE level. This is a fantastic chance for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact on students’ learning and development.
English Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons to secondary school students, focusing on GCSE English.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events.
- Provide pastoral support to students when needed, helping to build their confidence and academic success.
English Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level, including GCSE.
- A strong understanding of the English curriculum and GCSE exam specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A commitment to promoting students’ academic and personal development.
