Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

About the role:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide essential care and support, ensuring that individuals receive the assistance they need in their daily routines. Your role will be vital in promoting independence, dignity, and a high quality of life.
What you’ll have to do as a Healthcare Assistant:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals based on their needs.
- Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, mobility, and hygiene.
- Offer emotional and physical support to individuals in care.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals and educational staff to support individuals.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all.
- Maintain records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Provide first aid and medical support to students and staff as needed.
- Assist students with medical conditions, following Individual Care Plans (ICPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support students with physical disabilities or medical needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Administer prescribed medication under school policy and parental consent.
- Monitor students’ health and report concerns to relevant staff or healthcare professionals.
- Assist in maintaining accurate health records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
- Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to provide holistic student support.
What we need:
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3) is preferred.
- Experience in working with children or young people is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate and patient approach to care.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
