We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our secondary schools in Braintree, starting immediately. In this role, you will serve as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant (LSA), providing essential support to students with diverse learning needs. Your working hours will be from 8:30 AM to 3:10 PM, aligning with the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and engaging fully in school activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to reinforce learning concepts and facilitate academic progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
  • Monitor and document student progress, communicating effectively with staff and parents to support each student's development.
