SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Spalding, Lincolnshire
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day
Start Date: Easter 2025

GSL Education is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Spalding, Lincolnshire, starting Easter 2025. This role involves supporting students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, helping them achieve their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs.
  • Support children's physical, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain records and collaborate with education professionals.

Requirements:

  • Sensitivity and understanding.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and openness to change.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of teaching methods and curriculum design.
  • Ability to understand and respond to students' needs.
  • Active listening skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 1 or 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the Update Service.
  • Experience working with primary school-aged children.
  • Understanding of the primary education curriculum and teaching practices.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and all successful applicants must pass relevant background and safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS.
