Autism Teaching Assistant
Location: Bovington
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school in Bovington. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide specialised support to students with Autism, helping them to overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities of an Autism Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with Autism.
- Assist in implementing individualised learning plans and strategies.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support students in developing communication, social, and academic skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to deliver tailored interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning activities.
Requirements of an Autism Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism (preferred).
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
