Role: SEN Secondary Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £130 to £230 per day

The Role:
In this position, you will work closely with students who have a wide range of special educational needs, including physical, emotional, and learning challenges. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Individualised Support: Design and implement customised learning strategies to help students engage with the curriculum and realise their full potential.
  2. Progress Monitoring: Consistently assess student progress, providing valuable feedback to parents and colleagues to facilitate ongoing academic development.
  3. Emotional Support: Create a nurturing and secure environment, offering emotional support and encouragement to students who require it.
  4. Communication: Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in each student’s educational journey.
  5. Inclusion: Promote inclusivity within the school community, ensuring that students with special educational needs experience a sense of belonging and support.



Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as an SEN Secondary Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students with special educational needs succeed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with the school team.
  • Previous experience in supporting students with special educational needs is advantageous.
