Job Title: SEND Primary Teacher
Location: Bermondsey, London
Salary Range: £38,766 - £60,092 per annum (Depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Primary Teacher ready to make a difference?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced school in Bermondsey. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a specialist environment with competitive pay rates. The role is available for an immediate start.

As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the education and development of primary-aged children with special educational needs and disabilities. Your expertise will help create an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities as a SEND Primary Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of SEND students.
  • Implement and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support student progress.
  • Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to stakeholders.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils. 

Requirements for the SEND Primary Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching in a SEND setting or working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of a range of SEND, including autism, learning difficulties, and sensory needs.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

To work with GSL Education as SEND Primary Teacher you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
