Rate: £12.82 to £14.72 hourly (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education have an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Andover.
Role Overview:
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who need extra support in their learning journey. You’ll provide individual or small group assistance, adapting your approach to help students access the curriculum and grow in confidence. By working in partnership with the teaching team, you’ll help create a positive, inclusive learning environment that empowers students to achieve their best.
Main Duties of the SEN TA:
- Provide direct support to students with SEN, assisting them with tasks and lessons in a way that suits their individual needs.
- Offer tailored guidance to ensure students understand the material and feel confident in their abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver lessons that are inclusive and accessible for all students, regardless of their needs.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting your approach to help overcome any challenges they may face.
- Work alongside the SENCO and other professionals to ensure a well-rounded, holistic support system for each student.
What We Are Looking for in the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with SEN students is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both students and staff.
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
