Role Overview:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be a key figure in supporting students who need additional help to engage with their learning. Your role will be varied, involving tailored support for individuals or small groups, ensuring that students feel confident and empowered. By collaborating with a skilled teaching team, you will contribute to creating an environment where every student can thrive, no matter their challenges.

Key Responsibilities of the SEN TA:

· Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, assisting them in understanding and completing tasks.

· Adapt your approach to meet the specific needs of each student, ensuring lessons are accessible and engaging.

· Work alongside teachers to deliver effective and inclusive lessons that cater to all learning abilities.

· Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and adjusting support to help them achieve their goals.

· Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's support plan.

Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

· Previous experience working with SEN students is desirable but not essential.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with students, colleagues, and parents.

· A patient, caring, and positive attitude towards supporting children with additional learning needs.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team to create a supportive learning environment.

· An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
