Salary: £83 - £89 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-Time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school community in Ashford. This rewarding role requires applicants to have their own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment. Working closely with the teaching team, you’ll play a vital role in creating an inclusive classroom experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with their learning on a 1:1 or small group basis.
- Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Assist with classroom activities and adapt resources to suit individual learning needs.
- Monitor and report student progress to the SENCO and class teacher.
Requirements:
- Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to remain patient and understanding in challenging situations.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to your own car is essential.
