Teacher of Psychology
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time

Start Date: January 2025

Teacher of Psychology Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology to students at various levels, ensuring alignment with national curriculum standards.
  • Employ a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Develop and enhance teaching materials, resources, and activities to promote an enriched learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Psychology department and, where applicable, across other social sciences or equivalent subjects

Teacher of Psychology Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant academic qualifications, including a degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Psychology at secondary levels.
  • Experience in teaching other social sciences or equivalent subjects is desirable.
  • Passion for fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
